Ivory Coast national basketball team

The Ivorian national basketball team of the gentlemen representing the Ivory Coast in international basketball games. The Ivorian selection participated only in two finals of the continental finals of the African Cup of up to and including 1975. In the third part in 1978 they reached the final and won a silver medal. Then you missed no more finals and reached in the most successful period 1978 to 1985 up to 1983 always the final. The fourth place in 1983, however, meant missing the qualification for the Olympic Games 1984. After winning the gold medal in 1981 and 1985 you could qualify for the finals in each of the World Cup, where one in 1982 with the 13th place achieved to date placement. After 1985 you did not reach the first medal round of the African Cup of Nations, before you could connect to previous successes in recent times. After winning the silver medal at the African Cup of Nations in 2009 it was again qualified for a World Cup. In the next two African Cup of you missed just under a medal in fourth place and could thus concurred not qualify for the global finals of the following years. Even the home-field advantage in the African Cup of Nations in 2013 that had been used in 1985 to win the tournament, did not care for qualifying for the 2014 World Cup after the game they lost just for the bronze medal with a point against Senegal.
