Iyengar yoga is a form of yoga that was developed by BKS Iyengar, born in 1918. Throughout his decades- long practice practice he explored every single yoga pose ( asana ) with respect to the correct orientation and effect. The experiences that he made with his own body, Iyengar led them to use tools or to develop new, so -called " Props " as non-slip mats, straps, blocks, bolsters, back benches. The " Props " to the yoga practitioners designed to gain even more difficult asanas or exercise may seem simple asanas detail.
The asana practice is adopted together with the necessary philosophical and anatomical knowledge in a 3- year training as Iyengar yoga teacher.
