Izh 2125

The five-door hatchback or Izh 2125 Izh 2125 Kombi was produced from 1973 to 1997 by the Ischmasch plants in Russia and was one of the best-selling family vehicles in the USSR. In July 1973 he was presented by the company IzhAvto.

Special features of the 2125

Compared to the predecessor model, the suspension has been strengthened and the rear seat folding designed to allow a larger cargo area. After several accidents, the braking system has been revised in 1980 and now got a vacuum brake booster.

Revision to 21251

1982 Izh 2125 has been revised to type Izh 21251. Among the new features included front disc brakes, a new braking system, a completely new electronics, recessed door panels and a new front grille with round headlights. The interior was also modernized. Thus, the model now had door upholstery and a new instrument panel, which corresponded to the UN and UNECE regulations. The model was unchanged assembled up to the end of production in 1997.
