The Izmir Ataturk Stadium (Turkish: İzmir Atatürk Stadyumu ) is a football stadium in the south-western Turkish city of Izmir. The Ataturk stadium with a capacity of 57,500 seats, the second largest stadium in Turkey.

1964, the stadium was completed and named after the founder of the Turkish Republic, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. The former home of the Association Göztepe İzmir originally had a capacity of 80,000 spectators and was on 16 May 1981 sold out at meeting in the city derby between Göztepe Izmir and Karşıyaka SK for the first time.

In 1985, the stadium was renovated. It was from then on, more seating and a capacity of 63,000 seats. From 2005 until the fall of 2006, the stadium was renovated again. The ground capacity is now 51.295 seats.
