J-Cart

The J -Cart was developed by Codemasters memory module for the Sega Mega Drive with two built-in controller ports, so that could also compete without multiplayer adapter four players against each other.

The two available for the Megadrive multiplayer adapter from Electronic Arts and Sega were incompatible with each other, so that Codemasters with the J -Cart watched a sensible alternative that was favorable also in the making.

Due to the late introduction in the product life cycle of the Megadrives the success of the J -Cart was relatively modest, the games with J -Cart remained manageable and only came by Codemasters themselves:

  • Pete Sampras Tennis
  • Micro Machines 2, 96, Military
  • Super Skidmarks

A part of these games has been brought again later than normal module on the market.

  • Sega
  • Game consoles accessories
