J. C. MacKenzie

Life

MacKenzie grew up in Ottawa. He studied at Concordia University in Montreal and later at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art Although he wanted to become a teacher originally, he devoted himself after his return to Canada amplified a career as an actor. First, he joined primarily on in Canadian theaters before hired him Neil Simon for a U.S. tour of his play Biloxi Blues. After completing the tour, MacKenzie settled in New York City, where he was a member of the Circle Repertory Company.

1995 MacKenzie moved to Los Angeles, where in two seasons he took over the role of Arnold Spivak in Steven Bochco's series Murder One. In 1998 he took over the series Practice - the role of Dr. Fred Spivak 's lawyers. From 2000-2002 MacKenzie played in more than 40 episodes of the series Dark Angel, the role of Reagan 'Normal' Ronald. Since then he also took roles in major film productions. Repeats MacKenzie worked ( Clockers, 1995 and Spike Lee's Game of Life, 1998) and Martin Scorsese ( The Aviator, 2004 Departed - The Departed, 2006, The Wolf of Wall Street, 2013) with directors Spike Lee together.

From the marriage with Erin Cressida Wilson is a screenwriter son went bold (* 2004).
