J. C. Tran

Justin Cuong Van Tran ( born January 20, 1977 in Nha Trang, Vietnam also JC Tran ) is a professional Vietnamese- American poker player.

Tran was born as the youngest of eight children and has a degree in Business Management Information Systems at California State University, Sacramento.

Career

He has reached the price ranks in numerous lucrative poker tournaments. In the tournaments of the World Poker Tour, he has not celebrated his greatest successes. With a total of five final tables, he is one of the most successful players on the tour.

J. C. reached eight final tables at the World Series of Poker and has the difficult feat in 2004 and 2005 to demonstrate the 117th in the Main Event. In a WSOP Circuit tournament in Las Vegas, he took second place and won a quarter of a million dollars.

In October 2006 he won the Main Event of the World Championship of Online Poker at PokerStars. It is the largest poker tournament on the internet and Tran won $ 670,000 after a deal at the final table.

In March 2007, the Vietnam-born at the LA Poker Classic was able to take second place and win a cash prize in the amount of 1.2 million dollars. Just four weeks later, his first title win at the WPT he succeeded. In Reno, he won $ 683,000 in a heads -up against Juan Alvarado. He has secured the title of Player of the Year of the fifth WPT Season by these results.

In the World Series of Poker 2008 he won his first bracelet in the variant No Limit Hold'em for $ 631.170. In the World Series of Poker in 2009 was succeeded by his second for $ 235.685 in the Pot Limit Omaha variant.

In the Main Event in 2013 he reached the final table as the chip leader and was eventually fifth.

To date ( end of 2013 ) he won in poker tournaments with $ 10.8 million.
