J. David Velleman

James David Velleman (* 1952) is Professor of Philosophy at New York University. His research interests are issues of ethics, moral psychology, theory of action and action rationality.

Velleman received his Ph. D. in 1983 in Princeton. He received fellowships from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Guggenheim Foundation. Together with Stephen Darwall he is co-editor of the journal Philosophers ' Imprint.
