J. Frank Allee

James Frank Allee ( born December 2, 1857 in Dover, Delaware, † October 12, 1938 ) was an American politician of the Republican Party. From 1903 to 1907 he sat for the U.S. state of Delaware in the U.S. Senate.

Early life and family

Allee was born in Dover. From his father he learned the craft of watchmaking and then took over the jewelry store of the family.

In January 1882 avenue Lizzie Stevens married.

Career

Between 1886 and 1896 Avenue was chairman of the Republican Party in Delaware. From 1899 to 1903, he sat in the Senate from Delaware. In 1903 he was selected for the state of Delaware in the Federal Senate. There he sat until 1907. During his time as a senator, he was a member of the United States Senate Committee on Indian depredations and the United States Senate Committee on Railroads. In 1907 he retired from the Senate again. He worked until his death as a jeweler and watchmaker in Dover.

Death

Allee died in 1938 in his native city. He was buried at Christ Episcopal Church Cemetery.
