J. J. Nickson
James Joseph Nickson (* 1915, † November 24, 1985 in Walpole (New Hampshire) ) was an American radiologist.
Nickson studied at the University of Washington (1936 ) Medicine and then attended the Johns Hopkins University ( 1940). During the Second World War, he was one of the physicians of the Manhattan Project and a signatory to the Franck Report.
After the war he worked at the Sloan -Kettering Institute at the radiotherapy against cancer ( 1950-1965 ). He was then head of the radiotherapy on Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago and director of the Cancer Center of the Medical Department of the University of Tennessee.
