Jonathan Paul Losman ( born March 12 1981 in Venice, California) is an American professional American football player at the position of quarterback. He plays for the Miami Dolphins in the National Football League ( NFL).

College career

Losman played college football at Tulane University. At the beginning he was two years of future NFL player Patrick Ramsey, with occasional inserts as a starter replacement. During his first game as a starter against East Carolina Losman fit for 299 yards and two touchdowns. 2002 Losman was appointed permanently to the starting quarterback and led the team to eight wins, five losses and a 36:28 victory at the Hawaii Bowl against the Hawaii Warriors. NFL Career

2004

After the 2004 Bills wide receiver Lee Evans drafteten in the first round (13th pick ), they earned a second first-round pick by the Dallas Cowboys, with whom she chose Losman ( 1 Runde/22. Pick ). Losman was the first they drafted by the Bills in the first round quarterback since Jim Kelly in 1983. Besides Losman were Eli Manning, Philip Rivers and Ben Roethlisberger drafted as a quarterback in the first round.

During his first training camps, Losman injured when he broke in a collision with a teammate 's leg. In his first season he was the backup quarterback Drew Bledsoe of man and got little use time. In three games, he threw five passes, three of which were captured for a total of 31 yards. With the release of Bledsoe at the end of the season Losman took over his position.

2005

In his first game as a starter for the Bills Losman led his team to a 22:7 victory over the Houston Texans. In the course of the season he had problems with his throwing accuracy and was replaced by Kelly Holcomb. An injury in Holcomb's game against the Kansas City Chiefs led to a renewed change. Losman was the Bills lead against the Chiefs to a victory. However, the Bills lost nearly all other games, both with Losman as well as with Holcomb as a quarterback.

2006

In the off-season before the Bills took several changes in management, as the new coach Dick Jauron was hired. In an open competition in training camp, Losman was able to prevail and was named starter.

In the 2006 season, Losman could improve its performance significantly. Losman threw 19 touchdowns and 14 interceptions in 16 games, including several games with over 300 yards erworfenen. Over the entire season Losman had 62.5 % of his passes mounted and reached a quarterback rating of 84.9.

2007

2008

2009

With the expiry of his contract with the Bills Losman was a free agent, but he could not get a new job with an NFL team. Losman was drafted by the Las Vegas Locomotives in the United Football League newly established and signed on July 21 signed a contract with the team.

2010-2011
