J. T. Wyman

James Thomas Wyman ( born February 27, 1986 in Edina, Minnesota ) is an American professional ice hockey player who is used on the right wing. After he was drafted in 2004 by the NHL franchise Canadiens de Montréal, he played mainly for its farm team, the Hamilton Bulldogs. It was followed by two seasons with the Tampa Bay Lightning and their farm team before himself Wyman was committed in July 2013 by the Colorado Avalanche.

Career

James Thomas Wyman was born in Edina, Minnesota and attended the Blake High School in Hopkins, a border directly on Edina small town. In the local high school team, the Blake Bears, he was considered one of the most promising talents in his age group and was nominated for the Minnesota Mr. Hockey, an award for the best young players in Minnesota. In his last season in Hopkins, he scored 55 points scorer in 27 games. This was followed by the NHL Entry Draft in 2004, in which he was selected to 100th position of the Canadiens de Montréal. This draft should have been granted to the Chicago Blackhawks, but gave them their right for the transfer of Sergei Berezin in June 2002.

For the Canadiens, he signed a temporary two-year entry level contract. At the same time he moved to Dartmouth College to continue his schooling in addition to the sport. With The Big Green - all the sports teams of the University of bear that name - he played from then on in the play mode of ECAC Hockey, a pure College Football. In his four years at college, he increased his performance on the ice from year to year; up to 15 per goals and assists in 29 games of the season 2007/08. In the course of this he was appointed by the Canadiens farm team, the Hamilton Bulldogs convened. In the following season 2008/ 09 he completed 52 games for the Bulldogs in the American Hockey League and 15 games for the Cincinnati Cyclones in the ECHL.

In the first months of the season 2009/10 Wyman was irregular in the squad of the Canadiens and so came on 24 November 2009 against the Columbus Blue Jackets for his NHL debut. Overall, he recorded three bets, but without coming to a point scorer. The Bulldogs him go in the season 41 points in 95 games, but the team came into the play-offs to the Calder Cup semi-finals. After spending the next season completely in the AHL (and again failed in the play-offs in the semifinals ), it was in July 2011 committed as a free agent by the Tampa Bay Lightning. After settling in a few months in their farm team, the Norfolk Admirals, had established, he is from December 2011 and the NHL squad of Lightning. In the third game he scored against one of the Canadiens scored his first goal and his first assist in the NHL, so he played a key role in the 4-3 win. In total he completed in his first NHL season 40 games with 11 scorer points. Following the season, he extended his contract in Tampa for another year.

Due to the lockout Wyman became the new season at the new farm team, the Syracuse Crunch issued. There he reached with the team the play-offs and came in 94 games on 45 points scorer. It was only in April 2013, he was still employed at the end of the season once the Lightning, while playing against the Buffalo Sabres.

As a free agent he left Tampa after the 2012/13 season and was eventually taken for one year from the Colorado Avalanche under contract.

Wyman's grandfather also played hockey for the Bulldogs of Yale University.
