J. W. Robinson

James William Robinson ( born January 19, 1878 in Coalville, Utah, † December 2, 1964 in Escondido, California ) was an American politician.

Robinson studied at Brigham Young University in Provo and later attended the Law School of the University of Chicago, at the 1912 he graduated. In the same year he was admitted to the Bar of Utah and practiced from 1912 to 1933 as an attorney in Provo. From 1918 to 1921, Robinson district attorney ( county attorney ) in Utah County. In 1924, he competed as the Democratic candidate for the office of Attorney General of Utah, but lost Harvey H. Cluff.

Robinson was from 1925 to 1935 Member of the Board of the University of Utah. During this period he remained active in politics and in 1932 was chosen for his party in Congress. There he took on 4 March 1933 to 3 January 1947 State of Utah House of Representatives of the United States. After his attempt to be elected to the 80th Congress in 1946, had failed, Robinson was dated January 3, 1947 to January 31, 1949 Office of Land Management, an agency of the Ministry of Interior, active in Washington. He then returned to Salt Lake City.

James Robinson died on December 2, 1964 in Escondido and was buried at the City Cemetery in Provo.
