Ja River Scrub Warbler

The Gabon Buschsänger ( Bradypterus grandis ) is a low risk or standing near threatened warbler -like the Sylviidae family. The bird stands on the early warning of the IUCN as Near Threatened ( Near Threatened ), since one despite the relatively low number does not consider that the population is dwindling. Its habitat is wetlands, which are not yet considered endangered environment.

Identification

The Gabon Buschsänger is about 19 inches tall. The relatively large songbird has a long, broad tail with rust-brown coloration. The bird is mostly brown. On the neck and on the upper chest, the plumage is mottled gray and brown. Normally, the bird chirps softly. During the mating season, there are more choppy calls. Is supported by the Balzen wild wing beats.

Distribution area

The Gabon Buschsänger has been sighted in southeastern Cameroon, the Central African Republic and Gabon. In Cameroon, it was observed in Nki and Lobéké National Park as well as in Bitye in the district Dja -et- Lobo near the Dja Wildlife Reserve. In the Central African Republic, it occurs in Dzangha - Ndoki National Park. In Gabon, one finds the bird in Mimongo, M'Bigou and Massif of Chaillu. It was also reported from the species from the Lope National Park and most of Langhoué.

It is also suspected that the species in the wetlands of Rhynchospora in southeastern Cameroon, Gabon in the east, found in the north of the Republic of Congo as well as in the south of the Central African Republic. However, no reliable data on the occurrence of Gabon Busch singer are due to the inaccessibility of the area previously known.
