Jaana Ehmcke

Jaana Ehmcke ( born May 18, 1987 in Bremen ) is a German swimmer. She was several times German champion. She trained at the Olympic Training Center Potsdam and started for Potsdamer SV. Her coach was the former swimming champion and world record holder Jörg Hoffmann.

Life

The long-haul specialist was initially a member of the SG Hanseatic Bremen, later at the Bremen Sports Club. Since January 2005, she trained in the Potsdam airship port. In the 118th German Swimming Championships in Berlin she won a silver medal in the 800 m freestyle in 8:48,14 minutes behind Nicole Hetzer ( Wacker Burghausen) and a bronze medal in the 400m freestyle in 4:16,96 minutes.

Furthermore, it reached more vintage titles over 400 m, 800 m and 1500 m freestyle at German Championships.

International success

At the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008, it reached more than 800 m freestyle and 400 m freestyle respectively only the 25th place.

At the European Short Course Championships in Helsinki in 2006, it reached more than 800 m freestyle at the 25-m track with 8:32,85 minutes 11th place and improved her personal best by 11 seconds.
