The Jebel el- Lauz (Arabic جبل اللوز, DMG Ǧabal al - Lawz, English Jabal al - Lawz ) is a 2580 meter high mountain in the north-west of Saudi Arabia. It is located about 50 kilometers east of the coast of the Gulf of Aqaba and about 70 kilometers south of the border with Jordan in the province of Tabuk. The name of the mountain means translated, almond mountain '.

In the Bible, the area around the Jebel el- Lauz is called Midian, whose location and extent but are not exactly be delimited. Some researchers take the description of the " mountain of God " Horeb for a possible match with the Jebel el- Lauz, instead of Mount Sinai.
