Jack Allen (footballer born 1903)

John William Alcroft "Jack" Allen ( born January 31, 1903 in Newburn, † 1957) was an English footballer.

Life and career

Allen played from 1931-1934 for his hometown club Newcastle United. The striker played a total of 90 times for the Magpies, scoring 40 goals. He scored his two main goals in the FA Cup final against Arsenal in 1932, when he was English Cup with the team. Jack Allen scored both goals in a 2-1 success. More club stations of Jack Allen were, for example, Leeds United, the Brentford FC and Sheffield Wednesday.
