Jack Boothway

John "Jack" Boothway ( born February 4, 1919 in Manchester, † 1979) was an English football player and coach. In his playing career, the striker first played in various amateur leagues in Rusholme and Sedgeley Park before he was taken in 1938 Mossley under contract. He also played for Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and the AFC Wrexham. His first coaching job he held at Mossley before he took office in 1955, Northwich Victoria, where he worked until 1957. After several years break, he took over the post at the Runcorn Linnets until 1971.
