Jack D. Hunter

Jack D. Hunter ( born June 4, 1921 in Hamilton, Ohio, † April 13, 2009 in St. Augustine, Florida ) was an American author.

Life

Hunter completed his journalism studies at the Pennsylvania State University in 1943 with a Bachelor title. During the Second World War, he was not sent to the front because of his color blindness. After the end of the war he was stationed in Germany, since he had learned the German language during his studies.

After the end of his military service, he worked as a reporter for radio stations and magazines, and later for the Public Relations department of DuPont. His first novel, The Blue Max ( The Blue Max ), was published in 1964 and two years later a film starring George Peppard, James Mason and Ursula Andress. In all, he wrote 17 novels.
