Jack Dyer

John Raymond " Jack" Dyer OAM (born 13 November 1913 in Oakleigh, Victoria, Australia, † August 23, 2003 in Melbourne, Victoria ) was one of the most famous Australian Rules football players in Australia.

He played 1931-1949 a total of 312 times for the Richmond Football Club (Richmond Tigers ). With the team, he participated seven times in the championship finals, the Grand Final. 1934 and 1943 won Dyer with Richmond the Grand Finals. In the years 1932, 1937, 1938-1940 and 1946 he was voted the best and fairest player of the club.

During his time as a player, he was also coach of the team. 1949 Jack Dyer resigned as a player and three years later as a coach.

He then worked as a radio and television commentator.
