Jack Hill

Jack Hill ( born January 28, 1933, Los Angeles, California, USA) is an American film director, known primarily for his exploitation films.

Life and career

Hill was born the son of Ronald Hill, who worked as an art director for Disney and Warner Bros.. He married at the age of 25 years, originally from Germany Elke. In the early 1960s he made a series of films with Roger Corman, including 1963 The Terror - The Innocents starring Jack Nicholson, which he then called " horrible actor " classified ( he qualified his opinion, however, later). One of his comrades during his studies at the University of California, Los Angeles was Francis Ford Coppola.

Hill never achieved the worldwide fame of his fellow students, but has a solid fan base, to which, among other things also heard Quentin Tarantino. Tarantino has made about his company Rolling Thunder Pictures, among others, for the DVD release of Switchblade Sisters. In April and May 1968, he turned starring Boris Karloff, which were used in 1970 and 1971, published four Mexican films.
