Jack LaLanne

Jack LaLanne, actually François Henri LaLanne ( born September 26 1914 in San Francisco, † January 23, 2011 in Morro Bay) was an American founder of the U.S. fitness movement. They called him also the Godfather of Fitness, as he had spent most of his life trying to inspire his fellow men for a healthy life.

Known through books, seminars and TV spots, his name became synonymous with the strong, healthy body.

LaLanne was born in 1914 in San Francisco, the son of French immigrants. As a child, constantly ailing, changed a vegetarian, sugar-free diet and fitness training his life completely.
