Jack Otterson
John Edward "Jack" Otterson ( born August 25, 1905 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, † 22 December 1991 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American art director.
Life
Otterson made at the Yale School of Arts Bachelor of Fine Arts. In 1932 he took a job at 20th Century Fox and moved in 1936 to Universal Pictures. There he was nominated between 1937 to 1943 in seven consecutive years for the Oscar, which he was nominated twice in 1943. However, he never received the award. In 1947 he appeared for the last time with on a feature film, after he retired from the film business.
