Jack Pierce (athlete)

Jack Pierce ( born September 23, 1962 in Cherry Hill, New Jersey ) is a former American track and field athlete who specialized discipline was the 110- meter hurdles.

Sporting successes

At the Olympic Games in Barcelona in 1992 Pierce won in 13.26 seconds - the same time as the fourth-placed Tony Jarrett - the bronze medal behind Mark McKoy and Tony Dees. The year before he had won at the world championships in Tokyo in 13.06 seconds at the same time with Greg Foster for a destination Photo ruling the silver medal. With the same time Pierce finished at the World Championships in Stuttgart in 1993 ranked third behind the current world record in 12.91 seconds Colin Jackson and Tony Jarrett ( 13.00 seconds ).
