John Patrick " Jack" Underwood ( born August 12, 1894 in Hinckley, Minnesota, USA, † December 31, 1936 ) was an US- American football player. He played for the Duluth Kelleys / Eskimos, the Buffalo Bisons, the Pottsville Maroons and the Chicago Cardinals in the National Football League ( NFL).
Playing career
Jack Underwood signed in 1923 a professional contract with the Duluth Kelleys, who were coached by Joey Sternaman. 1926, the later members included in the Pro Football Hall of Fame John McNally, Ernie Nevers and Walt Kiesling of the team from Duluth, which was further renamed this year in Duluth Eskimos. A title succeeded Underwood and his team do not. For the 1927 season, he first joined the Pottsville Maroons in order to change the course of the season to the Buffalo Bisons. In 1929, Underwood tied to the Chicago Cardinals, who could take care of this season, Ernie Nevers and his former teammate with the Eskimos Russ Method and Bill Stone under contract. A title succeeded Underwood but also with his new team from Chicago does not. He finished after this game year his playing career,
