Jacki Weaver
Jacqueline Ruth " Jacki " Weaver ( born May 25, 1947 in Hurstville ) is an Australian actress. She was nominated in 2011 and 2013 for an Oscar for best supporting actress.
Life
Weaver played since the 1970s in numerous feature films, television productions and theater performances with. For her role of Anna in the movie by Tim Burstall Stork they got the 1971 Australian Film Institute Award for Best Actress. In 1976, an award for best supporting actress in the movie Caddy by Donald Crombie.
Larger international notoriety reached Weaver in 2010 for her role as Janine Cody in the film Animal Kingdom by David Michôd. She was awarded numerous prizes, including a renewed recognition of the Australia Film Institute for Best Actress, as well as, inter alia, the National Board of Review Award, the LAFCA Award and Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress. Then there was a two-digit number of nominations for various American film awards, including nominations in the Best Supporting Actress category for the most important film awards Oscar, Golden Globe and BFCA Award.
2012 Weaver played in the movie The Silver Linings together with Robert De Niro, the parents of the lead actor Bradley Cooper. For this role she was nominated again for an Oscar in the Best Supporting Actress category.
