Jackie Mudie

Jackie Mudie ( born April 10, 1930 in Dundee, † 2 March 1992 ) was a Scottish football player and coach.

Career

Born in Dundee Mudie first played in smaller Scottish clubs. Following the Second World War he joined the FC Blackpool, where he later became a professional player. In 1950 he made ​​his debut for the club in the First Division and became a regular player. In 1953 he won the FA Cup with the team. In 1956, he was first appointed to the Scottish national team, for which he took part in the World Cup 1958. In 1961 he moved to Stoke City and Port Vale went to two years later.

After end of his career he supervised several unterklassige clubs in England. In 1978 the Cleveland Cobras committed him as a trainer for the playing in the American Soccer League team. He also worked in South Africa.
