Jackie Sinclair

John Evans Wright Sinclair ( born July 21, 1943 in Culruss, Scotland, † September 2, 2010 in dollars) was a Scottish football player. Sinclair played in the position of attacking midfielder.

Career

Before Sinclair joined a professional club that he played for Blair Hall Colliery. Sinclair began his professional career, a few days after he turned 17, at Dunfermline Athletic. He played there from 1960 to 1965, completed a total of 61 games and was able to achieve in these 33 goals. May 1965 he moved to Leicester City, where he was able to achieve 50 goals from 1965 to 1968 in 103 games. In the mid-1960s at Dunfermline and Leicester, he scored approximately every second game to score, which was an unusually high value for a midfielder. In 1967 he moved to Newcastle United, where he starred in 43 league games and was able to achieve in these 6 goals. In 1969 he won with his team at the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup the title by his team against Újpest Budapest won in the final 6-2. In December 1969, he was then transferred to David Ford to Sheffield Wednesday. There he completed 101 games, but was in 1972 loaned to third division side FC Chesterfield, where he scored three goals in ten games. After the 1972/73 season, he then moved to Dunfermline Athletic, where he could still posted nine goals in 52 games. Sinclair finished his career with Scottish club FC Stenhousemuir.

Sinclair graduated in 1966 in a 0-1 against Portugal his first and only game for the Scottish national football team. For the game against Brazil, he was also provided for various injury problems, however, he had to pause.

Private life

Sinclair was married and had a daughter and a son. His uncle Tommy Wright ( b. 1928 ), his brother Willie Sinclair ( b. 1934 ), his cousin Tommy Wright (born 1966 ) and his son Chris Sinclair (born 1970 ) were also professional football players. On September 2, 2010, he died the first player of the champion team of the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup by Newcastle United in 1969 after a long illness of cancer in dollars.
