Jackson County (Alabama)

Geography

The County is located in the extreme northeastern Alabama, bordered to the north by Tennessee, on the east by Georgia and has an area of ​​2918 square kilometers, of which 124 square kilometers are water surface. History

Jackson County was formed on December 13, 1819 as an assignee of the Cherokees country. It was named after General Andrew Jackson.
