The Jacksonville University ( also called JU ) is a public university in Jacksonville, Florida. It was founded in 1934 as William J. Porter University. Since 1958, it bears its present name. In 2013 3741 students were enrolled.

The sports teams are the Jacksonville University Dolphins. The university is a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference.
