Jacob Lorhard

Jacob Lorhard Latin Jacobus Lorhardus (* 1561 in Münsingen, † May 19, 1609 ) was a German educator and philosopher. Lorhards main field of activity was the metaphysics. Acquired early in life Lorhard far beyond the German borders awareness - about his life is not much known yet.

Learning and Teaching

Studied at Lorhard in Tubingen, at this he received his doctorate with a discussion disputation de vera et Aristotelica methodological demonstrandi, 1592. There he taught, among others As a young lecturer also about ten years younger Johannes Kepler.

The method of diagrammatic representation also dates him, as the term first used and coined by him of the ontology.
