Jacob Pollak

Jacob Pollak (* around 1460 probably in Bavaria; † after 1522) was a Jewish scholar. He was until 1492 a rabbi in Prague, then head of a Talmudic school in Krakow and from 1503 for several years with Rabbi presumably the jurisdiction total of Poland. He brought the scholarly methodology in Prague accurate distinctions and logical analysis ( hillukim, see pilpul ) with Krakauer in his teaching one. His biography is after 1522 no longer unique historical reasons.
