Jacob (sheep)

The Jacob sheep ( also Jacob sheep, four or more horn sheep ) is a presumably originating from Asia Minor, now common in the UK sheep. It takes its name from the Bible, according to which the shepherd of Jacob for his flock, the animals got spotted (1st Moses from 30.25 to 43 ) or those bred.

The special thing about Jacob sheep are the most four horns and the spotted coat. It is one of the few sheep in the race also have the females horns. The Jacob sheep is - like all sheep - a herbivore and eats mainly grass, leaves and tree bark. It lives an average of 15 years.

Jacob sheep are like all the sheep herd animals. In the females, a stable herd forms, in the males, the Horde is arranged hierarchically (by age and size of the horns ).

During the mating season the bucks hit the zipping, where it partially comes to fights among the males.
