Jacob Weil

Jacob ben Yehuda Because of Weilderstadt in Württemberg was a 1400 live -action and German - Jewish Talmudist and progenitor of the eponymous Ashkenazi family.

He wrote, among other things schechitot u - wedikot ( " butchering and investigation", first edition Prague 1549), a common manual for Shechita.

Because Jacob was a supporter of pilpul method.
