Jacobsdorf

Jacob village is a municipality east of Berlin in the Oder-Spree district of Brandenburg. The municipality is part of the Office or foreshore.

Geography

Jacob village is located about 15 km west of the center of Frankfurt ( Oder) in a caused by the Weichsel glaciation on the landscape Lebuser plate at its transition to the Berlin glacial valley. The immediate surroundings of the town is dominated by agriculture and virtually free of forest.

Community structure

Districts are:

  • Pillgram, has 672 inhabitants. Worth seeing is the Vorlaubenhaus 1594/1595 Built in the old Germanic style. Drinking water receives the location of the waterworks Briesen. From 1992 to 1995 channels 4.5 km and 1.5 km penstocks were installed to dispose of the waste water.
  • Petersdorf, has about 250 inhabitants. In the village is a Grade I listed church and the manor house of the former knights seat with some farm buildings.
  • Sievers village has about 300 inhabitants. Worth seeing is the manor house built in 1689 with Baroque stucco decorations. The manor house also acts as a Bed & Breakfast. There is also an organ workshop and distillery.

The village was founded probably as early as in 1280. Jacobsdorph Under the name of the place took its first documentary mention 1343rd

Culture and sights

In the list of monuments in the village and Jacob in the list of ground monuments in Jacob village are registered in the list of monuments of the country Brandenburg cultural monuments.

The turn of the 13th/14th. Century built stone church still forms the center of the village. She owned up to the Second World War three bronze bells. 1942, the bells were delivered to non-ferrous metal production. Two were not melted down and returned to the place; the third remained missing until today.
