Jacqueline Rouvier

Jacqueline Rouvier (born 26 October 1949 in Notre -Dame-de -Bellecombe ) is a French former alpine skier. She was particularly successful in the disciplines of downhill and giant slalom. You won a race in the World Cup and a bronze medal at the World Championships in 1974.

Biography

Rouvier is one of those athletes who disputed 1967 race in the first World Cup season. The first World Cup points she brought on 3 March 1967 as the Tenth departure from Sestriere. In its dominant French team of those years they initially fell on rather little. This changed after the 1970/71 season, when they scored several podium finishes. Your only World Cup victory she celebrated on December 11, 1971 with departure in Val d'Isere.

The 1971/72 season had to end Rouvier injury prematurely, so they missed the Olympic Games in Sapporo. In late 1972 she established himself again among the world leaders. At the World Championships 1974 in St. Moritz, she won the bronze medal in the downhill. Also in the season 1974/75 they had to take a long injury break. After the Olympic Winter Games in Innsbruck in 1976, where she became sixth in the downhill and giant slalom in the tenth, she stepped back.
