Jacques-Édouard Alexis

Jacques- Édouard Alexis ( born September 12, 1947 in Gonaïves ) is a Haitian politician. He was prime minister of his country of 26 March 1999 to 7 February 2001, from 9 June 2006 to 12 April 2008.

Life

Alexis attended from 1959 to 1964, first the Lycée Geffrard in Gonaïves, 1964-1966 Lycée Toussaint Louverture in Port -au -Prince. He studied at the Université d' État d' Haïti ( UEH ) in Port -au -Prince - Faculty of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine ( Faculté d' Agronomy et de médecine vétérinaire ). In 1979 he completed his studies with the M. Sc. (Master of Science ) from He was co-founder of Quisqueya University ( l' Université Quisqueya - UniQ ), taught here as a professor of technology Alimentaire et de Technologie post Recolte ( Food Technology ) and was also from 1990 to 1996 the first director of UniQ.
