Jacques J. Polak

Jacques Jacobus Polak ( born April 25, 1914 in the Netherlands, † February 26, 2010 ) was a Dutch economist.

Polak was 1958-1979 Director of the Research Department of the International Monetary Fund ( IMF), English: International Monetary Fund, IMF.

Jacques J. Polak was named the " Polak model " (IMF Monetary Model), which since the 1950s, and later in a somewhat modified form, the World Bank and the IMF as a basis for deciding on loans to indebted countries to finance their current account deficits and for the selection of suitable structural adjustment programs serving.
