Jacques Neirynck

Jacques Neirynck ( born August 17, 1931 in Uccle / Ukkel, hometown entitled in Ecublens ) is a Belgian- Swiss politician ( CVP), electrical engineers, consumer advocate and author of books on the subject of technical progress.

Life

Neirynck studied electrical engineering in 1954 and received his diploma; then ( 1954-1957 ) he worked in the Belgian coal mining. 1957 to 1963 he was a professor of electrical engineering at the University of Kinshasa in Zaire and a doctorate in parallel (1958 ) from the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium. 1963 to 1972 he worked in the research laboratory of Philips in Brussels, initially as head of the group of Applied Sciences, then as deputy director.

In addition to his scientific activities, Neirynck committed in Europe since 1963 for the protection of consumers. Neirynck 1972 received a professorship at the Department of circuits and systems at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, in 1982 he became a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers in New York.

In 1999 he was elected to the Swiss parliamentary elections in the Swiss National Council. In the subsequent parliamentary elections in 2003 he lost his seat, but could win him back during the 2007 elections again and successfully defend 2011. Neirynck has a seat on the Foreign Policy Committees ( APK ), the Committees for Science, Education and Culture ( CSEC ) and the editorial committee ( RedK ).

Switzerland length gained fame as one of the five main characters Neirynck in the documentary Corn in Parliament. He lives in Ecublens, is married and has five children.
