Jacques-Pierre Amette

Jacques- Pierre Amette ( born May 18, 1943 in Saint -Pierre- sur -Dives, Calvados ) is a French writer.

For his novel La Maîtresse de Brecht, he received the Prix Goncourt in 2003. Amette applicable in France as a connoisseur of German literature, in particular by Friedrich Hölderlin. He describes himself as a bilingual ( German / French). He lived a long time in Pforzheim, Hamburg and Berlin. So far, only a single work of Amette was translated into German - Two Leopards ( Les Deux Leopards ).
