Jacques Poulin

Jacques Poulin ( born September 23, 1937) is a French-Canadian writer from the province of Quebec.

Poulin studied psychology at the Université Laval in Quebec City. He first worked as a translator and university tutor, before the success with his second work "Jimmy" allowed him to live from writing.

His probably most successful book is the novel "Volkswagen Blues", in which the connection between the French-Canadian history and that of the entire North American continent is discussed.

Poulin lived a long time in Paris, before he returned to Quebec.
