Jacques Soisson

Jacques Soisson ( born February 1928 in Paris, † 25 January 2012) was a French painter, engraver, sculptor and child and adolescent psychotherapist

Life

Soisson studied at the École des Beaux- Arts de Toulouse, and then at the École des Beaux -Arts de Montpellier from 1948 to 1951 in classes for painting and sculpture. Then Soisson was a drawing teacher in Sétif and Oran until 1962. Between 1966 and 1978 he worked as a child and adolescent psychotherapist. The, in the context of therapy, painted by the patient drawings and paintings have been collected by him and he called the Atelier d' art thérapie to life. This important collection was given with the support of Anne and Arsène Bonafous -Murat the Museum of the Hospital of St. Roch in Issoudun. He cooperated with the Institute Édouard Claparède de Neuilly -sur -Seine. A year later, in 1969, was a member of the Soisson, founded by Jean Dubuffet, Compagnie de l' Art Brut and SIPE. There was an acquaintance between the two. Since 1978, dedicated to Jacques Soisson, animated and encouraged by Dubuffet, to painting and etching. He lived and worked most recently in Paris.

Pictures

His work was characterized by bright colors and shapes as indicated by the virtuosity of the colors and the unconventional representation of the human physiognomy. In addition, Soissons works achieved a therapeutic and meditative effect.
