Jacques Songo'o

Jacques Celestine Songo'o ( born March 17, 1964 in Sakbayenne ) is a former Cameroonian football goalkeeper.

Clubs

His greatest success Songo'o with Deportivo La Coruna, where he was able to prevail as a regular player. In the 1996/97 season he was with the Trofeo Zamora, as a goalkeeper with least goals against, excellent. In addition, he was in 2000 with " Depor " Spanish masters.

During his playing career he played 322 matches in the French and Spanish League.

National

His first of a total of 67 international matches played Songo'o 1984 against Angola. This year he took part in the Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles with Cameroon.

With the Cameroonian national football team between 1990 and 2002 he took part in four World Championships, where he was, however, only used at the World Championships in 1994, when he was allowed to play during a game, and in 1998, when he was a regular player. Only in the last group match in 1994, when Cameroon was already eliminated, Songo'o was allowed for the first time at a World Cup guard the gate - and experienced a Riesenblamage.
