Jade (American group)

Jade was an American girl group. Her biggest hit was the 1993 single Do not Walk Away.

Career

Tonya Kelly grew up in Chicago, where she was inspired by the music of Sarah Vaughan and Nat Cole. Joi Marshall, also of Chicago, was trusted by their parents with the Motown sound, particularly the music of Diana Ross. Di Reed, who is from Houston, had experience as a gospel singer. The three women met in 1991 in Los Angeles know and founded in 1992, the vocal group Jade, who presented a synthesis of R & B and dance floor.

Already with the first three singles I Wanna Love You, Do not Walk Away and One Woman conquered the trio in 1992 and 1993, the international charts.
