Jaden Schwartz

Jaden Schwartz ( born June 25, 1992, Melfort, Saskatchewan ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player in the position of left winger. Since March 2012, he is with the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Schwartz began his career with the Notre Dame Hounds in the junior leagues in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. In the 2008 /09 season he played for the Hounds in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League ( SJHL ). In 46 games he scored 76 points scorer, and he was named SJHL Rookie of the Year. He then moved to Tri -City Storm in the United States Hockey League ( USHL ). In his first and only season in the USHL Schwartz was with 83 points from 60 games leading scorer of the league and was awarded following the season as a USHL - Forward of the Year, in addition, he was elected All- Star team in the USHL First.

NHL Entry Draft 2010 Jaden Schwartz was selected in the first round to 14th position from the St. Louis Blues. The offensive player the Colorado College Tigers joined the Western Collegiate Hockey then of Association ( WCHA ) and was already in his first season in the WCHA with 47 points from 30 games the Tigers' leading scorer. For these achievements, he was elected All- Star team in both the WCHA All- Rookie Team as well as in the WCHA Third. In the following season, he was the most successful points scorer of the Tigers.

On March 12, 2012 Schwartz signed a three-year entry-level contract with the St. Louis Blues. Five days later, he made his debut with a game the Blues against the Tampa Bay Lightning in the National Hockey League ( NHL) and scored once with his first shot his first NHL goal. Overall, Schwartz came in the NHL season 2011/12 on seven missions for the Blues.

The season 2012/13 started Schwartz at St. Louis ' farm team in Peoria Rivermen of the American Hockey League, before he was appointed after the end of the lockout in the NHL squad the Blues. Schwartz established himself as a regular player of the blues and came in 45 NHL games available for use, thereby pass him seven goals and 13 points scorer.

Internationally

Jaden Schwartz represented his country with the Canadian national team for the first time at the U20 World Youth Championship 2011. He reached with his team the final and defeated the Russian selection with 3:5 there. In the U20 World Youth Championship in the following year he led his team as team captain on the ice. The Canadians defeated in the semi-finals of the Russian team, but earned in the match for third place against the Finnish team the bronze medal.
