Jaén District

Jaén is one of the twelve Peruvian districts, which form the province of Jaén ( Cajamarca ) in the region Cajamarca. Jaén is located in a valley with a tropical climate, whose inhabitants live mainly from cultivation of coffee and rice. In addition, Jaén seat of administration of the Vicariate of San Francisco Javier. In Jaén, there is a small airport, which is served every now and then from Cajamarca and Chiclayo.
