Jaime Sáenz

Jaime Sáenz ( born 1921 in La Paz, Bolivia; ibid † 1986) was a Bolivian writer.

Life

Sáenz is counted among the major Latin American writers of the 20th century. His style is, inter alia, called magic realism. Although Saenz himself never attempted to public recognition, provided the Bolivian state to him in recognition of his literary work an apartment for life time. There he slept for years only a day because he felt the sunlight for itself as threatening, and was active only at night. The central themes of his poetry are cold, distant, Night, body and death. So spirits and the dead are the figures most frequently used in his works. However, the bizarre and quirky types relate to life in La Paz and its impoverished middle class and often on their Mythizismus.

It is as if the author is talking psychologically embarks on the area of the background meaning. His comic- tragic figures speak out plainly what is commonly referred to as ulterior motives. Angela Delissen - Loretta reading lamp
