Jaimy Gordon

Jaimy Gordon ( born July 4, 1944 in Baltimore) is an American high school teacher and writer.

Life

Gordon began her studies at Antioch College, Ohio, she received a BA completed. She received a 1972 M. A. in English Literature from Brown University and received his PhD in 1975 in "Creative Writing". Gordon has been active since 1981 in the MFA training at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, where she became a professor in 1992.

Her first attempts at writing they had in 1972 when it published a "underground fantasy". In the 1970s, they brought in small publishers specially crafted poem expenditure out in small editions. After having inserted a break from writing in 1999, she won in 2010 with her ​​fourth novel, Lord of Misrule surprisingly the National Book Award for Fiction.
