Jairam Ramesh

Jairam Ramesh (born 1954 ) is an Indian politician of the National Congress (INC ). He is currently (November 2010) Environment Minister of India.

Ramesh is a member of the Brahmin caste, and studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 2004, he was campaign manager of the INC and was instrumental in this function to the victory of the party in the general election in 2004.
