Jakob Fuglsang ( born March 22, 1985 in Geneva ) is a Danish mountain bike and road bicycle racer.
Career
Jakob Fuglsang began his career in 2006 at the Danish Continental Team Designa cocci and the Dutch Cannondale - Vredestein MTB Team. For Cannondale - Vredestein MTB he went from then on in the MTB sector, on the road it started to continue for Designa cocci. In the Mountain Bike World Championships in 2005 in Rotorua, he was fifth at cross-country race in the U23 class. This competition he won at the World Mountain Bike Championships in 2007 in Fort William.
After the end of 2008 went as a stagiaire for Team CSC - Saxo Bank, he concentrated from 2009 entirely on the road cycling and became a member of the ProTeam Saxo Bank for the 2008 he won the tour of his home country. In 2009 he succeeded once more, in addition he reached a stage victory. He also won the overall title and the first stage of the Tour of Slovenia, in the Dauphiné Libéré, he finished third in the overall standings to sixth place. His hitherto reached its greatest success Jakob Fuglsang in June 2010, when he was third overall in the Tour de Suisse and his team won the team of this tour. 2010 and 2012, he came Danish champion in the time trial. For the 2012 Tour de France, he was not nominated for his disappointment. He denied instead the Tour of Austria, where he won the overall title and a stage, having already previously finished the Tour de Luxembourg as the winner.
